Swim Meet Recap
The Riverview Swim Team has had its first three meets of the season. On September 10th, both the boys’ and girls’ teams competed against Eastbay and Bloomingdale. The boys team beat Eastbay 108-43, and lost to Bloomingdale 110-68. The girls team also beat Eastbay 97-63, and lost to Bloomingdale 125-50. Homecoming Spirit Week
Homecoming Riverview High School student government association (SGA) plans various events throughout the school year. Although their most notable annual event is our homecoming dance, the week leading up to the dance is just as enticing. Spirit Week is a week full of excitement for students and faculty alike. Despite SGA being the main coordinator, other clubs are allowed to express their creativity around the school by bringing this years’ themes to life; Monday: “Meme Day”
Football Recap Against Haines City
The RVHS varsity boys’ football team brought home their fourth win of the season against Haines City last Friday, finishing on top with a 32-6 victory. Last week, head coach William Mosel hoped that by the following article he and the Sharks would have a 4 – 0 record; this hope, now truth, defines Mosel’s statement, “we played well- we’ve been playing well.” In respects to the 32-6 win, Mosel feels that “every week [the Sharks] get better at one more aspect of the game.” Mose
Football Game Against Haines City
Tonight will be the fourth game of the season for the Riverview High school boys’ varsity football team. The Sharks are headed for Polk County to face off with Haines City High School. Volleyball Game Against Sickles
This past Thursday the Sharks girls’ volleyball team faced against Sickles. In Game One the Gryphons were the first to score but Hannah Sallet and Sarah Mapu retaliate by blocking and scoring. Then Sickles gets a net violation, so far it was 9-5 with the Gryphons being in the lead but, Mapu serves and scores then Ariya Harris set up Sydrah Glasgo to score. Monday Football Game!
Monday night at 7 at home, the boys’ varsity football team at Riverview High School will be playing its third game of the season, this time against Brandon High. Head Coach William Mosel and the Sharks brought home a hard-fought win last Friday against Durant High School, finishing 13-12. Volleyball Game Recap
Last Thursday, the Sharks beat Middleton 3-0 in some very close games. In Game One, Mia Cervetti and Ariya Harris were the first to score with Cervetti setting up Harris. After that, Harris set up for Hannah Bowers for a big score. Harris scores by penalty. Following a lengthy discussion, the Sharks got the ball, but one point was taken away from them.
