Homecoming Spirit Week

Homecoming

Riverview High School student government association (SGA) plans various events throughout the school year. Although their most notable annual event is our homecoming dance, the week leading up to the dance is just as enticing.

Spirit Week is a week full of excitement for students and faculty alike. Despite SGA being the main coordinator, other clubs are allowed to express their creativity around the school by bringing this years’ themes to life;

Monday: “Meme Day”

Tuesday: “Toga Tuesday” for seniors, and “Everlasting Day” for underclassman (dress as a baby or an old person)

Wednesday: “Character Day”

Thursday: “Through the Decades”

Friday: “Spirit Day” (wear class colors)

The Homecoming dance will be from 7 to 11 p.m. at Pepin Hospitality Center. The theme this year will be Willy Wonka. SGA sponsor Jordan Alberts thought the idea was great when she came up with it last year, as did the rest of SGA.

This year’s court holds Jordan Clark, DeJare Duhart, Jarod Hendrix, and Jacob Lancaster running for King and Madison "Mad Dog" Jones, Alexandrea Manning, Alexa Morel, and Megan Talley running for Queen. The aftermath of the school wide votes will give us the King and Queen for this year
