This upcoming Saturday, Riverview will be holding its first-ever Sadie Hawkins Dance, sponsored by the National Honors Society (NHS) in association with the Kidz1stFund. This is essentially a dance-less formal dance in which the girls ask the guys to dance, and commonly has a country theme.
The dance will be held in the school cafeteria from 7 to 11p.m. It is intended to be more casual than the average dance. The dress code will be more lenient than usual and a few simple games such as cornhole will also be available to play. The idea for this event was suggested to NHS sponsor, Dawn Rohm sometime last year and she is very proud to put it into effect this year. Rohm hopes to acquire around $200-300 in support of the fund.
