After 35 years, the Riverview Branch Library has decided to expand into something bigger and better.

Starting mid-2020, the library will be located at 1003 Balm Riverview Road, north of Boyette Road. The new building will be approximately 35,000 square feet, a change from the current, outdated 8,000 square-foot building. The cost will meet around $12.6 million, funded by the Library Fund.

The new building will include a computer area, meeting rooms, editing suites, enclosed children’s area, exterior book drop-offs and more. It will accommodate up to 175 parking spaces.

This new site will make the Riverview Branch Library one of the three largest libraries in the Hillsborough County public library system..
